People are often times amazed when they hear how many years most employees have been with OSI. It seems quite normal to me that employees stay working at OSI for 5-10-20+ years, but that is not the norm with many businesses. So that leads me to the question: What keeps us here at OSI?
I have been employed with OSI for 15 years and I believe my journey is true for many people that work at OSI. I started working at the Stillwater front desk and over the years have had the opportunity to move to different positions within OSI, into my current position of business office manager/IS manager. It has a journey of opportunity that OSI has presented me with. They believed in my abilities, that I could take on new positions, new roles, and new responsibilities. They took the time to train me, encourage me and trust in me.
OSI believes and invests in all their employees. Every staff member is given the opportunity to better themselves. OSI invests back into their clinicians through in-house CEs and encourages them and supports them as they study and test for new certifications.
One of the big reasons why people stay with OSI is the fact that OSI believes everyone, no matter their position in the company, is a leader. OSI invests in leadership training that encourages us to share our ideas and insights to better the company, to mentor each other, and to help us become leaders in the company.
Because OSI invests in us, we want to invest back into OSI. So when people are surprised by how long our staff have been with OSI, I ask them “why wouldn’t you want to stay somewhere where employees are valued as they are here at OSI.”
