What to expect

OSI’s treatment is specialized, highly professional and private. The therapist will provide a thorough evaluation, including a complete history of the problem, postural assessment, and muscle testing. In some cases a pelvic exam will also be performed. A customized treatment program will be developed that includes:

  • Muscle Re-Education For Postural Correction, Relaxation, And/Or Strength Training
  • Manual Therapy For Correction Of Joint Mechanics And Soft Tissue Restrictions.
  • Biofeedback And/Or Electrical Stimulation To Aid The Exercise Approach.
  • Self Management Home Programs That Include Exercise, Body Mechanics, Education In Diet And Other Behavior Strategies To Reduce And Manage. Symptoms.

Our goal is to help our patients self-manage their condition. Individual cases vary in the amount of time needed to meet specific functional goals. An average range of visits for incontinence is 4-6 visits, for pregnancy and post-delivery 4-6 visits, and for pelvic pain 6-9 visits.
