LAT, ATC

John received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois. He has been a preceptor for college athletic training students for 10 plus years. John previously was the athletic trainer for Team Illinois’ National High School Wrestling team for 5 years. He uses a variety of methods to get the core of the problem, not just the symptoms, ranging from athletic taping, kinesiotape, electronic stimulation, and vestibular ocular motor screening for concussions. IMPACT testing software is another method John is well versed in when treating concussions.

John’s professional background consists of working high school and club sports such as football, wrestling, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and highly competitive cheer. John also spent time working in PT and Physician clinics assisting MD’s, PT’s, and PTA’s. Currently he is working in the OSI clinics and Centennial High School in Circle Pines for athletic training coverage for all athletics. John has a personal interest in working with concussions and on field emergency medical care.
