Spring is here! We have been busy planning our Sixth Annual Pea Soup Days Run for Thursday June 4th, 2015 at 6pm. This year we are happy to announce that we have a 5K and are adding a 10K to the mix as well as keeping the popular Kid’s Race. This annual event has always drawn a great crowd and we are hoping that this year’s event is no different.

We have some great local sponsors that have partnered up with us to bring about a successful event. It is with great appreciation that we thank EconoFoods, General Sam’s, General Construction Services, Jet Black, Hartman Homes, Hesley Shoquist & Co, LTD, Bernard’s, Miller Brothers Auto Repair and River Valley Sports who have already committed to supporting this event.

Proceeds from the race will benefit both the local Somerset Basketball Association as well as the Somerset Youth Baseball Association. In addition, the Boys Scouts of America will be there to collect canned goods for the local food shelf. There will be local firefighters participating in the 5K route in firefighting gear as some added friendly competition. Don’t miss this opportunity to join us for this very popular community event and stay around all weekend to attend the Pea Soup Days festivities which take place at Village Park June 5th-7th. We look forward to seeing you there!
