Staff Stories: 8 Years At OSI

It’s hard for me to believe that I’m coming up on my 8-year anniversary with OSI. When I started I was fresh out of college, about to get married and move out on my own for the first time. I had a friend that worked at the West Saint Paul office who recommended me come in for an interview. It was one of my first interviews and I was nervous. I don’t remember much about it other then I was shaky, sweaty and I repeated the words crabby people several times.

Unfortunately I did not get the job that time (surprising huh?) but I knew I wanted to get in to OSI and so when I found another opening at Maplewood I Sent in my resume, got another interview and snagged the job.

Why do I stay here? I love the people. First I love the people I work with. They truly are amazing. They have been there for some of the best times of my life and some of the hardest. I know I have their support no matter what life brings my way. So I am lucky to say I have more then just co-workers, they are friends. I also find joy in the people I get to meet on a daily bases that come in as patients. Learning about people and giving them a personal experience instead of a generic health care experience is what we strive for.

Most importantly our therapists are good at what they do. I see people getting back to things that they never thought they would because of them. That’s why I love OSI and plan to stay here long term.

So if you want to find a great physical therapist, with a friendly receptionist staff (That’s me!) and a hot cup of coffee (yes we have that too) then please come in, we would love to meet you.
