What You Need To Know When Making An Appointment At OSI
Greetings! Hope you are all enjoying the warmer! I know I sure am.
We recently changed our appointment scheduling process and I wanted to keep everyone updated on what to expect when they call the scheduling line.
To help smooth out our appointment scheduling process and to minimize registration errors; we now require all patients to have their insurance information available when scheduling an appointment.
Auto and Workers Comp
If you are coming in for an Auto or a Workers Compensation injury, you will need to provide us with the following information before we can schedule an appointment:
- The name of the Workers Compensation or Auto Insurance company handling your claim;
- Your claim number;
- The date of injury;
- Your adjuster’s name and phone number.
This process will help us verify PT benefits and ensures we have the correct billing information prior to the first visit. Our patient’s come first, and we want to do the best we can to avoid any unexpected surprises.
In addition to your insurance information, we need to obtain your referring and primary physicians name to ensure your appointment is set up properly. If you are unsure of the referring physician’s name, please contact the referring clinic to obtain this information as your insurance may require a referral for Physical Therapy Services. Our physical therapists require this information so they can keep your physician updated on your therapy status, asks the physician questions regarding your condition, and it allows them to contact your physician if they have any concerns regarding your therapy progress. If you don’t have a referring or primary doctor, that’s ok, we only need this information if there is a referring or primary physician involved in your care.

Now that we have finished our registration process, I want to let you know about an exciting change to our scheduling process. We value our patients and their feedback, and I am excited to announce that we will now be scheduling your 1st appointment as well as 4+ follow up appointments on your initial call. We want to do everything we can to ensure our patient’s get in with their therapy team right away. To ensure you receive your desired appointment days and times, please have your schedules available so we can do our best to accommodate you.
