Meet The Athletic Trainers At OSI Physical Therapy
This video is an introduction to the athletic training team at OSI Physical Therapy. OSI employs 5 full time athletic trainers that work at local high schools as well as in clinic and numerous casual athletic trainers (help with coverage).
Athletic trainers are recognized as health care providers. To become an athletic trainer you have to receive and undergraduate or graduate degree in athletic training from an accredited school. After completion of this degree, you can sit for the board of certification (must pass this to practice athletic training). Athletic trainers don’t just work in physical therapy clinics or high schools. You can see them as a physician extender in a doctor’s office, college/university AT, professional team AT, an educator, a work hardening instructor, or in non traditional settings such as military/fire/police.
