A Tip To Avoid Training Errors
As the weather seems to be improving, I hear friends and patients alike getting out and being more active. I also hear about more aches and pains as activity increases. This is most often associated with doing too much too soon. My advice for everyone is this: don’t increase your workout more than 5% a week. This can be applied to many variables- time, distance, resistance or any other way to challenge the intensity or difficulty of your workout. This should be used for bikers, runners, swimmers and even walkers. Sticking with this 5% rule can help you avoid things like tendonitis, muscle strains and stress fractures.
I hope you find this tip helpful! Have a great workout everyone!
