A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Shari received her Bachelor’s of Rehab Science degree in 2012, Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014 and her CHT in 2019. Prior to that she had a successful 17-year career as a COTA working in various settings of an acute hospital and outpatient clinic as well as extended care facilitates. She has many years of experience working in neuro-rehab, hand therapy and sport related injuries.
While in Utah Shari practiced exclusively in hand therapy and had the opportunity to work beside gifted and talented hand therapists and hand surgeons. Successful outcomes have been achieved through her manual treatment, therapeutic techniques and the use of modalities (such as Ultrasound, Iontophoresis, Fluido-therapy). She is skilled in fabrication of custom orthotics for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder as well as serial casting and static progressive splints. Shari is strong in treating elbow and wrist injuries, instabilities and painful hands as well as CRPS and multi-trauma.
Shari has a special interest in pain management, acute post op hand injuries/ surgeries and is recently focusing her “new learning” in pediatric hand therapy. She also has a certification in Lymphedema Therapy and has experience in wound care.
Spare Time Activities
Outside of work Shari enjoys spending her time with her family and friends. She and her husband enjoy hiking, skiing and snowmobiling. They love animals and have a few horses which they take on the trail and go camping with.
