Sports Performance Training: Featured Athlete – Jacob Bauer

One of the most enjoyable parts as a strength and conditioning coach at OSI Physical Therapy is that I have had the opportunity to work with several great athletes. Among these great athletes are some great kids who stand out in their effort and attitude, day in and day out.  To recognize these hard working young athletes, I will be featuring some of the hard workers that I have had the honor of coaching.

Today’s OSI Physical Therapy’s Featured Athlete is Jacob Bauer of Woodbury, MN.  Jacob is 11 years old and currently attends Lake Middle School.

Jacob has some pretty cool accomplishments to share!  Jacob participates in karate, snowboarding, and football (favorite).  This guy is basically a ninja. He has already received his black belt in karate!  Along with being a ninja, Jacob’s football team was undefeated!!

In addition to his great athletic accomplishments, Jacob also has several cool academic accomplishments.  He recently received the PAW Award from Lake Middle School, which is given to an outstanding student. Jacob challenges himself with tough classes like advanced math, and still maintains “straight A’s.”

Jacob plans to attend a good college after high school.  He has his sights set on becoming either an architect or an FBI agent.

Here are some other interesting facts on our featured athlete, Jacob Bauer:

What does Coach Matt have to say about our featured athlete:

Jacob is exactly the type of kid you want to coach! He shows up on time, listens, works hard, and has fun. I have great respect for his coachability and toughness. He is one little tough dude and I feel bad for whoever is his competitor! I am very excited to see what Jacob’s future has in store for him as he continues to grow as an athlete and student!

Come join Jacob and several other great athletes in our CrossFit Teens Strength and Conditioning program.  Workouts are at CrossFit Woodbury (nearby Super Target) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30-4:30pm.  We also have workouts at LiftBridge CrossFit on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm.
