A Holiday Wish
For most of us during this holiday season we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by loved ones and friends. We are also fortunate enough to have jobs to help us afford food on the table, clothes on our back, and a roof over our head. If we are lucky we also have other luxurious possessions such as a vehicle, a phone, a TV or two, computers, and other small tech devices. For most of us, we are fortunate.
There are those among us who are not as fortunate. They’ve lost a loved one and are now alone, they’ve gone through a divorce and now trying to figure out new family dynamics for themselves and their kids, yet for others they worry about having a roof over their head, clothes on their back, and food on the table. They are unable to think about giving gifts for loved ones this year.
So this holiday season it is worth reflecting upon all you have to be thankful for. Although you or a loved one may not get the perfect gift, be thankful for what you have and what you received as others will have nothing. Be thankful for the ability to spend time with your loved ones. We should hope we are fortunate enough to have families like the Griswolds (Christmas Vacation) or the Parkers (A Christmas Story). So, despite all of your family’s nuances, be thankful you are loved and are able to spend time with loved ones because there are some among us that don’t have this same fortunate opportunity.
My prayer to you is no matter what your current life situation is, may you find many things to be thankful for this holiday season. So, whether you are an OSI employee, a current client, a previous client, or just a visitor to my blog, no matter the circumstances of your life I want to wish you a blessed holiday season!
