Physical Therapists Recognized at APTA Combined Sections Meeting 2016

On Feb 17-20, 2016, over 11,000 physical therapists and physical therapist assistants descended on Anaheim, California, for the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association. This conference is a chance for all the specialty areas in physical therapy to come together. Classes are offered in many areas from pediatrics, orthopedics, sports, geriatrics, aquatics, hand, and more. It is a chance for therapists to take classes in the specialty they practice or chose to learn new things in a different specialty.
The Combined Sections Meeting is also when therapists, that have been Board Certified as a Specialist in a specialty area or recertified as a Board Certified Specialist in the past year, are recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association in the opening ceremonies.
This past year, OSI had 4 therapists that became Board Certified in Orthopedics. These therapists are:
-
Mike Brown, DPT, OCS – Lake Elmo OSI
-
Nate DeBruin, PT, OCS – Lake Elmo OSI
-
Pete Larson DPT, OCS – West St. Paul OSI
-
Tony O‘Bright DPT, OCS – Maplewood OSI

Congratulations to the newly certified and recertified therapists at OSI!

As an organization, OSI has 60% of our staff that have advanced certification in either orthopedic or sports specialization, certified hand therapist or fellowship training. Our goal as an organization is to continue to advance the knowledge of our therapists for the benefit of our patients. We hope that if you have an orthopedic condition you will come see one of us at OSI.
Thanks for reading.
