A growing number of people are choosing OSI for hand therapy instead of using medications or undergoing surgery to treat hand pain, wrist pain, forearm pain, and elbow pain. Our highly specialized occupational and physical therapists are able to identify what is causing the problem and then design a course of treatment to eliminate it, not just reduce the symptoms of hand pain, hand numbness, carpal tunnel, tendonitis, and more.
An OSI therapist will perform a thorough evaluation of your condition, providing quick identification of complex problems involving the joints, nerves, and soft tissues of the elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand. The therapist will then develop a treatment plan with the goal of restoring function. If needed OSI will provide you with a custom-made or pre-fabricated splint or brace for protection, stabilization or mobilization of the injured area. In cases involving chronic soft tissue injuries or scarring the OSI therapist may use instrument assisted Graston® techniques. Our therapists are also skilled to determine when you might benefit by seeing a physician specialist.
