Hey You, Computer Users, Do You Have Back Pain?

Do you have neck, back, or wrist painHeadaches?  It could all come from how you sit at the computer.  Just like making sure you have good form when you throw the baseball, you need to make sure you have good form when you are at the computer. Especially if you work on a computer all day for your job, how you sit throughout the day can take a toll on your body.  It is important to have good posture to allow your body stay aligned correctly. Don’t forget to get up and move throughout the day and take a look at these tips to help you with your desk posture. These are some of the things we treat at OSI.

Standing during the day can help decrease your back pain and better your posture.  It can also help you burn 20 to 50 more calories per hour. Although that may not seem like a lot, it is an extra 80 to 200 calories burned per day, which equates to helping you lose 8 to 20 pounds over the course of a year.  Just from standing a few hours per day!  If you have the ability and space to have a workstation where you can stand and work, here are a few tips for your posture while at a standing workstation.
