Forest Lake Wrestling Dock Project

With the ice finally off the area lakes, the Forest Lake wrestling team was hard at work this past weekend installing docks for their annual fundraiser.  Wrestlers, coaches, and parents divided into groups and worked around Forest Lake and Clear Lake.  They spent most of the day Saturday and part of Sunday fulfilling orders and getting docks and boat lifts ready for fishing opener next weekend.  Many of the homeowners are repeat customers and look forward to the team coming each year.

Coach Ben Dahmes explains, “The dock project is a great fundraiser for our team.  Many people need help with their dock and boat lift each year.  It’s a hard job, but teaming up for the task makes it easier and we can raise money while helping out the community.”

After several cuts, bruises, and sore muscles, the team installed over 25 docks this weekend. The wrestlers will be back again this fall to take everything out to prepare for winter.
